Landfill gas
In a landfill site, the biodegradation
of organic matter generates over several years
significant quantities of landfill gas. After
being treated and purified, this gas can be
used at a power plant in order to produce electricity.
Biomass
Biothermica’s engineering
team holds several decades of experience in
the combustion and gasification of biomass as
well as residues such as bagass, municipal waste,
sludge, forest residues, asphalt shingles, demolition
waste, etc...
Gasification is an efficient
process enabling the production, from a solid
fuel, of a low calorific value gas. This syngas
can then be used to fuel a steam boiler or a
gas turbine after filtration of particulate
matter.
