The mission of the Energy Division is to utilize as efficiently as possible landfill gases, biomass and, more generally, all locally available forms of renewable energy, such as wind, sun and geothermal energy, and to the greatest extent possible integrate these different components.

The Energy Division carries out all steps leading to the completion of energy-production projects, from feasibility studies to design and construction. Biothermica Energy Inc. assists the Energy Division of Biothermica Technologies Inc. in the execution and financing of projects. The Energy Division also uses its laboratories to develop technologies for utilizing biomass and solid waste energy (gasification and pyrolysis). It also innovates at the level of integrating different forms of renewable energy.
